Serra Club of South Palm Beach

The Serra Club is a Catholic organization devoted to promoting vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our club is part of District 30 which includes clubs in the Archdiocese of Miami and those in the Dioceses of Palm Beach, St. Petersburg and Venice, Florida. Many Ascension parishioners are Serra Club members and they grow through fellowship, education and Christian service. What is Serra?

Serra is voluntary association of some 20,000 Catholic laymen and laywomen. Each Serran is a member of a local Serra Club sanctioned by the Bishop of the diocese in which the Serra Club is located. Serra’s objectives and purposes are:

  • to foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry,
  • to encourage and affirm vocations to consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church,
  • to assist its members to recognize and respond in their own lives to God’s call to holiness in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit.

Men interested in applying to study to become a priest or permanent deacon in the Diocese of Palm Beach are asked to visit the Office of Vocations for additional information or call (561)775-9540.
